BUDGET - FALL

Two of the largest expenses in the budget for fall quarter are the parts costs and engineering costs. During the fall quarter, the design of the RC Baja begins and by the end of the quarter, all parts are to be ordered.

Examples of these parts are materials and critical components such as the shocks, wheels, and spindles. The parts list provided in Appendix C of the report documents all the parts currently on the list to purchase.

The engineering costs for fall quarter are spent primarily in design, research, and analysis of the RC Baja truck project. The amount of total hours for the project is estimated to be around 330 with about 80 of those hours already exhausted.

After design and analysis completed, many of the parts are to be 3D printed. The cost of 3D printing is $0.50/hr. and total printing hours is expected to be around 38.

The total budget cost of the RC Baja project is estimated to be $8613.48. This includes the engineering hours which is charged at about the Washington average engineers pay.

BUDGET - WINTER

During the winter quarter, the additional budget expenses were due to errors in the fastener count along with redesigns creating more fastener holes. The fasteners purchased were mostly from the local store called Jerrol's as they had the various necessary sizes of M3 SHCS.

The current budget expenditures are $400.63 .

BUDGET - SPRING

No new budget expenditures occurred during the spring quarter.
